The Pier Arts Centre is inviting expressions of interest from creative practitioners based in Orkney to deliver half-day sessions in collaboration with young people living on several of our islands.
Details of the sessions are as follows:
The workshops are targeted at young people aged 12-24 years
Duration of each workshop session is 2.5 hours
Venues: Rousay, Shapinsay, Westray, Sanday, Stronsay – utilising community facilities
Dates: Saturdays – 2 x half-day sessions – timed to fit with ferry travel.
NB Activity must be completed by Sunday 17 March 2024
Group size: 10-12 young people.
Artist’s Terms:
Artist fee (SAU day rate, with additional time for travel depending on island). NB although we welcome joint proposals, we have only one fee and costs available per day.
A materials budget is available, with access to Pier Arts Centre stock.
Travel costs including ferry fare with car are provided based on day return trip basis.
An Assistant is provided to support workshop.
