private view - a collection of self portraits
This two dimensional portrait combines working drawings of a three dimensional self portrait produced in 1991 , with a recent watercolour.
In my sculpture I restrict myself to sheet metal and a simple geometric shape, which is folded and repeated.
In this self portrait I have used the precisely defined planes created by this process and combined them with an image of myself to reflect a rhythmic organisation of space and depth inherent in my sculpture.
