An exhibition showing developmental work by Orkney College UHI’s Fine Art Textiles third year undergraduates Kirstin Wishart and Jenny Stone.

This display is a core part of the Professional Practice Module for the students and an opportunity to curate and present their work.

Both artists focus on their roots in Orkney in their work. Kirstin’s work is examines what it means to be an Orcadian, directing her artwork around the basis that the Orcadian identity and heritage is dying out. Jenny’s work looks at the need for self-discovery through her cultural background as a Canadian living in Orkney.
