This exhibition of drawings, paintings and notebooks by British artist Philip Hughes celebrates the publication of a new book by Thames & Hudson -  Philip Hughes / Notebooks, Introduction by Kay Syrad, Foreword by Stephen Coppel.

The publication details a new selection from Philip Hughes’ unpublished notebooks spanning the last 25 years.

A selection of the original notebooks, with paintings developed from these notebooks displayed at the Pier Arts Centre depict landscapes in Orkney, Scotland, Antarctica and Svalbard, capturing the spirit of each place through the artists unique perspective.
