This session will introduce the Piergroup programme for 2015 and talk about how to get involved.

There will be a presentation from artist David Ward and curator Mike Tooby on the wavespeech exhibition that the Pier Arts Centre is presenting later in year, which will involve new work by David and by ceramicist and writer Edmund de Waal.

This work is a 22 minute cycle of projected light drawings and images that is looped to run continuously. The imagery is animated with long cross fades and so is constantly changing. The work has a relationship to skating and the floor becomes a horizontal drawing plane.
