This informal walking tour of the British Museum touring exhibition Pushing paper: contemporary drawing from 1970 to now will be led by Andrew Parkinson, Pier Arts Centre Curator, who co-curated the exhibition with Isabel Seligman, British Museum; Alix Collingwood-Swinburn, Durham University; Alison Cooper, Cooper Gallery, Barnsley; and Katy Freer, Glynn Vivian Art Gallery.

The exhibition illustrates how artists experiment with the power of paper to express their ideas pushing the medium in new directions and highlights the breadth and quality of the British Museum’s collection of modern art, as well as its global scope.

Generously supported by the Bridget Riley Art Foundation

This event is free of charge and no booking is necessary.
