To mark the 70th Anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights, the Pier Arts Centre is taking part in the Fly the Flag project.

Artist and activist Ai Weiwei stands at the forefront of this project with his ‘footprint’ flag design, and is encouraging others to contribute their own creations in celebration of this significant anniversary.

Over two Piergroup/PIERCLOSER sessions, there will be an opportunity to design and make a flag which the Pier Arts Centre will fly from the 24th to 30th June 2019 as an advocate for human rights.

. First session - Tuesday 28th May 7.00 - 9.00pm
Researching, brainstorming, sketching ideas and defining final designs

. Second session - Tuesday 18th June 7.00 – 9.00pm
Making the flag.

You can attend one or both sessions. Admission is free. Please email kari.adams@pierartscentre.com to confirm attendance.
