Visitor information
The Pier Arts Centre welcomes all visitors. We aim to provide the best possible access for everyone so that you enjoy your visit.
Situated along the main street (Victoria Street) in the historic town of Stromness, you will find us a short walk from the Stromness Ferry Terminal which is also the nearest bus stop.
There is no dedicated car park at the venue, but parking can be found on Ferry Road, approximately 500 meters from the gallery.
On arrival at the Pier Arts Centre, we do not have an automatically opening door. If you require assistance to enter, please knock at the glass door and one of our staff will be happy to help.
Once inside, there is a lift which allows access to all floors of the gallery. There are accessible toilets on each floors. Visitors are welcome to use sanitisation stations throughout the building.
We have no cloak room facility, however there is a coat rack where belongings can be left at visitors own risk.
If you have additional access needs, please email or telephone us in advance of your visit and we will be happy to help.
Staff are on hand to ensure you receive a warm welcome and have a safe and enjoyable visit.
